SPOILERS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE

Ok, so I ust got back from seeing it and yeh it was hella creepy!! I think I would've been more freaked out if I hadn't heard about it beforehand and kinda expected certain things from seeing the trailer but it was still scary!!
While watching I couldn't help but think about Supernatural :)  They should've called Sam and Dean from the beginning and things would've been much better.
I noticed so many similarities lol
1- Katie said the demon has been with her since she was 8. She saw it standing beside her bed, then her house burnt down, and it's been following her ever since.
2- Instead of a ghost/poltergeist- they classified it as a demon.
3- Before things turned really bad, Katie described the lights flickering, water faucet turning on and off, hearing scratching in the walls (Home anyone?)
4- Micah (the stupid arrogant yet caring bf) sprinkled baby powder to catch footprints. I whispered to my friend that he should've done salt.
5- When Katie became possessed in the end she exhibited superstrength
6- In all of Micah's "research" he didn't read about holy water?!?!
7- Micah bought a ouija board to try to communicate with the demon (I will never see a ouija board and NOT think about IMTOD :D). The ouija board proceeded to set on fire and went out leaving markings on the board

So that was basically where my head was during the movie lol. It was entertaining and creepy and it is truly awesome what they managed to come up with for $15,000.

Hey people!!
I'm in a bit of a qaundry (wow college girl thinks she's so smart haha). I really want to get a macbook pro for my birthday that was a few weeks ago bu I can't decide between a 13 or 15.
Right now I have a 17" inch dell and I'm afraid a 13 might be just too small compared to what I'm used to.
Unfortunatelly there are no Apple stores or Best Buys with Macs in my town so it'd be a drive to get a look at one.
Just wanted to see what y'all thought. :)

^anyone who gets that line will be the coolest person ever! xD

Anyway, very excited about the win last Sunday night v. Dallas. It's sad but I kept thinking of how Jared and Jensen would be reacting if they were watching the game lol.

And excuse my squeeing for something besides Supernatural but....GLEE!!!!!! Totally my new second favorite show lol. It's so fun and the actors are just great. Especially the guy who plays Kurt. The one storyline I hope they ax soon though is the fake pregnancy one between Mr. Shue and his wife. It's just not going to end well and I'd much rather see him end up with Emma <3

I know I've tried to stay spoiler free with Supernatural but I couldn't help but take a peek at the promo pics for 5.04 and they are EPIC!!! So excited for that episode.

Well, till next time LJers! :)

Me and Richard at karaoke

Me and Richard (again) lol

Me and Traci

Me and Gabe

Me and Jim

Me and Misha

The Group Shot
Now I have to say that this was not meant to be mean or making fun of anyone. We asked the boys to do it and they were very gracious and thought it was a riot.
Jim might want to run for president one day so I had to say that it wasn't meant to be mean lol.

And Misha even signed it for free! LOL

Thanks!

What a long day Sunday was. Long but fabulous. Thanks to daylight savings we lost a hour of sleep (whoever came up with that one did a bang up job!). We got down to the lobby around 8:15 and there was already a long line forming from outside the ballroom doors. But thanks to a new setup they started it didn't matter what seat you had since all the stars were gonna come around to your table. They were only there for a few min. but I guess they thought it would prevent people from sleeping in the hotel lobby lol. They each came around with handlers and were given the sholder tap of doom when it was time to move on. Malik though stayed till he found out where each of us came from since got the touch when he was halfway around the table.
Jim, Todd, Malik (He prefers his middle name), and Misha looked wonderful for getting about no sleep. Misha and Jim flew in from Vancouver (they're filming 4.21 right now).
Everyone was so excited to see Misha especially. Since he got moved to Sunday it felt like he was the replacement for Jared (since Sunday is usually the big day) and he delivered on all levels. The other guests were great too but no one knew what to expect from Misha.

On a (very) shallow note- his eyes are AMAZING! When he looks at you he's staring directly at you and makes you feel like there's no one else around. I know that sounds so cliche but it's true. He has a much more softer oice than Castiel too.

So when Jim ame around to our table we didn't have an empty chair so he just kneeled lol. A couple girls at our table were telling him about how they thought Chuck Norris would be afraid of Bobby and that 'Demons build panic rooms to hide from Bobby Singer'. LOL He got a kick out of that.

Malik was just so cool. Very laid back with that Bronx attitude. So different from the bravado he puts on as Hendrickson. Todd was really charming and funny. Who knew he was in so many things? The hi-tech fans who bought their laptops with them checked out his IMDB page while waiting in photo op lines and such. He was in the episode 'Boo' of Dark Angel, but when I asked him in the autograph line if he ever met Jensen on that shoot, sadly his answer was no. His scenes were mostly with Jessica, Ashley Scott, and Kevin Durand. At the breakfast and his panel, he said he shot the 'Close to Home' pilot with Jared when he was about 17 (cue "aww" from the audience" Todd: "Yeah people age. What about that?") so it was a nice 7 year reunion with Jared when he got cast as Dracula in MM.

After the breakfast was Jim Beaver's photo op and because the breakfast ran a little long they started a little late. I wanted to think of a certain pose or something but went for the regular one-arm hug which is just as nice! :)
Right after my photo was taken, Richard Speight Jr walked in and shook hands with Jim and they posed for a picture together!

Jim's photos here- www.new.facebook.com/album.php

His panel was right after that and boy can that man talk! I don't know how much longer his panel ran but it was definitely longer than an hour. He talked a bit about Kim Manners and that the tone on set has definitely changed. Not that they still don't have fun but Kim will be dearly missed.

He called Jared and Jensen kindergarteners LOL and said that there's no sense of an age difference between them so he doesn't really feel like a surrogate father like Bobby. Just good friends.
A lilttle girl Hailey asked Jim about the relationship with his daughter since she said her relationship with her father is really special since he moved away. Jim got all flustered and told her she was gonna make him blush. Aww! His daughter Mady is 7 and Jim said he's never taken her to a con or the SPN set. Once he took her on the Deadwood set when she was 3 and one of the main actors (Ian McShane- I think) just shot a scene where he got the shit beat out of him and his face was all bloody and he introduced her to him and she gives the most unamused "Hi." and walks away. LOL. He also told a cute story where he was driving her to school and there was something about Obama on the radio. Mady asked who won the election (5 months later) and he said Barack Obama. Mady was surprised because she said that McCain was prettier! Jim's like "Well, that's not how they decide who gets to be president." Somehow they got talking about George Bush and Mady goes "George Bush was president? Why does nobody tell me these things!" HAHA. She sounds too cute. He might take her to one of these cons when she's older to show her that her "old man is actually cool." LOL.
A few people asked about his book which is about the year that he found out his wife was diagnosed with cancer and Mady was diagnosed as autistic. It's a book of emails he put together that just helped him get through the year and how other people helped him through it.
He thinks the John/Bobby relationship is funny becuase he's never had a scene with JDM and never met him in person lol.

Another SPOILER ALERT: In the season finale, we'll learn more about John and Bobb's relationship and that Bobby didn't always like how John raised the boys.

When describing the boys he learned from us that most of us had never met the J's and he was srsly shocked lol. He said he's gonna have to kick some ass when he gets back to Vancouver lol. Go Jim!
There was the prank question but Jim said they're too scared of him to play pranks. And he knows too much about Kripke's personal life so he's not afraid about Bobby being killed off (plus he's named after a producer lol).

Jim was just really honest about everything. He has this awesome no bullshit attitude. Like when he mentioned finishing up 13 episodes on "Harper's Island" and people started clapping and he goes "Y'all are clapping for a show you haven't even seen yet!" lol.
He pointed out that the pic they used for him on the banner and the screen behind him was not from Supernatural lol. He was teasing the guys backstage about where they had gotten that pic and they were like "Uh. You know. Somewhere." and Jim's lilke "Yeah. Try HBO." HA! He pretended to draw a fuller beard on his face to look more like Bobby.

Bobby thinks that everyone likes holy water in their beer! lol.

His favorite episode that he's not in is "Nightmare" in Season 1. "It's the one with the kid!" lol. After some help from us we guessed the ep and he said that he really remembered that one lol.

Alot of talk about languages and stuff like that. In Yellow Fever the part about Bobby speaking Japanes was added because he told Kripke that he knew some. Hee.
Actually, when he went to Japan and spoke in a lilttle welcome ceremony, he thought his speech went really well. When he finished they said it was good there was just one thing. He thought he had said "Thank you for welcoming me into the country" but the Japanese phrase is an idiom and can mean different things and what he actually said was "Thank you for sending me to a conentration camp."  He said it wasn't his proudest moment lol.

Since Jim's panel ran long, his autographs were combined at the end of the day with Misha, Malik, and Todd.

I had bought a group photo op ticket at the last minute after my sister said she wanted to meet Misha but she didn't have a photo op ticket for him. So she got to stand next to Misha in the group photo op lol.

NOTE: OK GUYS, IN OUR GROUP PHOTO OP, WE HAD THE GUYS MAKE 'ASIAN EYES'. I'M AFRAID TO POST IT SINCE I DON'T KNOW WHO WILL TAKE OFFENSE TO IT OR MAKE IT INTO THIS HUGE DEAL. MY SISTER AND I ARE ASIAN (KOREAN) AND WANTED TO DO A FUNNY POSE WITH THE GUYS.
IF YOU WANT ME TO POST IT PLEASE SAY SO. BUT I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN THAT IT WAS NOT MEANT TO MAKE FUN OF ANYBODY IN ANYWAY.
We don't want a repeat of the Miley Cyrus incident. *rolls eyes*

So, next up was Misha's photo op. His line was massively long and when there was about 40 people left, we could see him peaking out the door to see how long the line really was. Aww he's too cute.
I asked him for a hug and gosh, I could've stayed there forever. I also think I might have asked him for a hug as my arms were halfway open lol.

We had a little break before Todd's panel so we thought we'd go for a bite. Omg the restaurant service was horrible! So slow. We sat down at 2 and didn't get a waiter until 2:20. We barely made it out of there in time for his panel. Ugh.

Anyway, Todd was great. He had some great stories about shooting 'Surfer Dude' with Matthe McConaughey. There's a scene where he has to do drugs with some hot girls and pass a bong or something back and forth. He's standing on this set overlooking a sea of 150 girls in bikinis and high heels and said he felt like Ceasar when the director let him pick the girls he wanted in the scene lol. He did the muscle pose and said he pointed to the girls and said "Bring me the redhead and the brunette." A PA dashed off into the crowd to get these girls and he did the most hilarous Grinch-like run haha. He also mimicked the other girls stomping their feet with mad faces on like "What's wrong with me!"
He is a huge fanboy and likes Star Wars and the old horror classics. He watched Dracule like 30 times while filming and he'd be watching clips online before he'd shoot a scene just to make sure he got it right.
He pointed out to the makeup or whomever that Dracula didn't have fangs and if they were going to be true to the story shouldn't he not have teeth and they just told him to be quiet lol.
He thinks his first scene filmed was the alley but couldn't really remember "Note to self: Remember scene order" lol

He had great things to say about the J's and he wouldn't change his career for anybody else's. He's worked on good and bad sets but loves the experiences he's had.

After every panel they had the guests sign the banner on each side of the stage and his pic was all the way up top. So he pretended like he was a vampire and flapped his arms and the ends of his jacket like they were wings HAHA. It was hysterical. Then he tried to stand on the director's chair he was sitting in but the chair and stage wasn't that sturdy so...bad combo lol. They finally bought out a regular chair for him to stand on.

Todd and photo ops here- www.new.facebook.com/album.php

Malik was up next. He started out by talking about limitations and only wanting the things that are necessities in life and about living for the day and overcoming limitations. It was a little strange to be honest. What he said was true but a little out of place maybe lol.
The greatest part came when a little boy asked him how it felt to get a swirly from Jensen lol. Malik was like "Whose kid is this?" "Is this your baby?!" haha. He said he read the script and just must not have seen that part. He watched that toilet very closely because he was scared of pranks but it was fine. It wasn't a real toilet either.
When he was first cast, they were actually looking for a 50 year old to play Hendrickson but he went in and read the material anyway. Kripke also talked to him about coming back so he was surprised and disappointed to see that he got killed off. He's like "Lilith, white light..WHAT?" "Why all the black people gotta die?" lol.
His nephew was here with him and his sister is his best friend. She told him that he sucked on his first tv gig when he thought he did awesome lol. His mom called him after 402 aired and yelled at him for being too mean. Aww lol.
His favorite ep is 402 since he got to shoot the gun and play cowboys and indians/cops and robbers. He's like a 10 year old kid at heart. His favorite scene to shoot though was his convo with Dean in Nightshifter and his intro shot when he bosses around the cop in the trailer "You can go home and bang your wife for all I care- who gets to say that on TV? Shouldn't we be on HBO?"
He also shared with us that he was shot when he was 15 and almost got killed in a motorcycle crash a few years ago.
Surprisingly, he's watched the first 8 eps of Season 1!! He doesn't scare easy and once he put the pilot in and started watching it he thought "Let's turn the lights back on." lol. So he's become a real fan of the show too!
The funniest part was at the end when Misha was backstage talking to VIPs kinda loudly and Malik called back "If you don't shut up back there I'm gonna come and..." Misha said "we're trying to have a conversation."
Then he stuck his head out infront of the curtain and Malik goes "There's an angel back there!" HAHA. He was having fun with Misha telling us he was stripping backstage and that there was a pole back there. He takes singles and change lol.

More of Jim and Malik - www.new.facebook.com/album.php

FINALLY- MISHA!!

Everyone's said this already but it's so true. He's even hotter in person. He seemed more relaxed than he did at the photo ops and was really funny. He called Malik his pimp and thanked him for that great introduction. The lines to ask him a question were really long. People started lining up before Malik got off stage. Only one guy asked him one too- he was very glad/surprised to see him "Awesome a guy!" lol.
His sister was here with him and about everyone knows that he worked in the White House under the Clinton administration and said it was just terrible lol.
If he could play any role not on TV anymore it would definitley not be Columbo. Probably George Clooney on ER.
Confirming some stuff on his IMDB page- he did start a software company out of college for a get rich quick scheme but started to act to support his failing software company. He did build his house and some of the furniture in it but not everything. He would like to get to the point that he did build all the furniture but he's not there yet.
A girl bought this published book of poetry and asked him to read something from it!! His original response would have been that he didn't remember anything but now he was stuck lol. I wish I had taken a video of that but my second battery was already dying. :(
After some pleading and expectant silence he finally agreed to say Castiel's line "You should show me some respect." HEHE. So hot. After it he said he's never felt so ambiguous in his life.

He wouldn't show us how he auditioned for Demon!Castiel though. He said "I'm not your monkey!" "I aim to please but I don't aim that high." LOL. We still love you Misha! He sounded like a parent when he's like "Now don't look at me like that." haha.
When asked how he thought Sam, Dean, and Castiel would end up he joked that they woudl live in a country cottage or something like that. He liikes the conflict that's always there between him and Dean and Sam because it makes the show interesting. The greatest quote was "You don't know how Castiel thinks." HAHA.
With the lone guy who asked how Castiel suddenly appears out of nowhere he did a audience participation part of the Q&A and picked out a girl to be him. The guy was Dean and he was the camera coming around behind him and then she walked right next to him so it's basically Misha waiting off of camera behind someone and then jumping into frame lol.

He said that there is a sense of hijinks but not too many since Jensen said it escalates and they realized they're gonna be with these people for a few years so they probably shouldn't get on their bad side lol. Misha was also glad his character was on our good side so his fan reaction and fandom experience has been good. But he'd hate to be on our bad side because we can be a little mean.

SPOILER: There's a scene with a little kid in 421 and they had to hire a short woman who looked like the kid from behind and in the beginning of every take he had to point to the lines she had to read. And she had a funny accent so he said he was biting his cheeks to keep from laughing and Jared and Jensen are on the other side staring at him trying not to laugh and the Assistant Director was getting pissed! lol. They also got in trouble the other night for breaking windows when they were filming in a warehouse. lol Oh boys!

He commented that there was no shortage of cameras in the room and later that he was now partially blind from all the camera flashes lol.
He also should've paid more attention to the suit that wardrobe fitted him with. When they called him for a fitting he didn't realize that he was going to "be wearing the fucking thing all the time" (haha his words not mine) and the suit really doesn't fit right.
While filming the park scene in ITGPSW, there were little buttons all over the park that controlled the sprinklers and they had to be off for the scene but there wasn't enough crew to keep all the kids away from the buttons so they would have to wait 20 min everytime they went on lol. It was like an extra 5 hours all together.
In Lazarus Rising, the sparks of fire were actually burning his scalp and he had to try his hardest not to jump back when the squibs went off in his clothing to make it look like he was being shot at because they were loud. Ruby's knife also had no blade in that scene so Jensen was holding the handle and when Misha pulled it out they added the blade with CGI. But they had to do that scene a few times because he kept pulling the blade out at an angle lol. He said when he rewatched the scene you can see on his face that he's thinking "OK, just pull it out straight this time!" lol.

SPOILER: He couldn't remember what has aired and what hasn't aired and alluded to the fact that Dean may be using some angel powers in the future.

Misha's photos here- www.new.facebook.com/album.php

Finally, we got to the autograph sessions. I got the big poster signed by all of them and only had my photo ops with Misha and Jim ready for them to sign. All the guys got a kick out of our group photo op and Misha even signed it for free!! It was already in a toploader but that was ok lol. His handler looked kinda mad but what could she do? LOL.
Jim said "I wanna go back to Japan one day and they're gonna hate me!" lol. Don't worry Jim!

That about does it for me. I'll make a separate post with my photo ops I guess.

ENJOY!

Thanks!

OK so before I get to all the Misha hotness that was today I have to recap yesterday.

Gabe, Richard, and Traci were all wonderful. And poor Traci came and hung out with us all day- cold and all. <3

Richard was first. He started with a very nice speech about Kim Manners and you could tell he really thought alot of him and looked up to him as one of the greats in television. It was very sweet. He started off the Q&A afterwards with "And now after I bought the whole room down..." lol. He hasn't watched a lot of episodes- just the ones that he was in.
I'm sorry to say but I don't remember most of the questions but here are some of the highlights of his panel:
- the walking into Jared's trailer story and getting run off by Sadie and Harley. He then issued a warning to all fans that trying to sneak into Jared's trailer is not a good idea lol

- When asked what he would do to Dean to punish Sam like he did in Mystery Spot, he said he'd try something with Dean's parents and someone yelled out that it's already been done before (in WIAWSNB) and he did the cutest look of "fail" on his face LOL.
- His ringtone is his wife saying "Ring...ring...ring." When there's a message- "Rich you have a message." Unknown caller id- "I don't know who this is."
- He would give up chocolate over cheese because he love cheese so much. He went to Italy and had this amazing gouda that's not available in the US and could never live without cheese lol
-He related Sam and Dean to Bert and Ernie. "Sam without Dean is like Bert without Ernie." <3
Sorry I can't think of more...

Richard pics here - www.facebook.com/album.php

Gabe. OH MY GOD. I just wanted to squish him and hug him forever lol. His wife probably wouldn't like that too much. They're going on their honeymoon soon to Paris since she's never left the US. Awww lol.
So he comes out and he looks like the smallest thing. Less scruffy than Andy and sporting the collar/sweater combo. Love. He was so cute when he was sitting on the chair because he kept swinging his legs like a little kid and even called himself on it when he caught himself doing it lol.

In the beginning he just took in all the cameras and then did poses for us! Very model like with the one eye wink and everything. Later on someone asked hiim to pose and he thought of doing an ecstatic one with his arms wide and the cutest goofy grin on his face!

His ringtone is unknown. HA. He had many technical difficulties with trying to get to his ringtones and then getting them to play. He kept turning his phone on, then on silent, then on vibrate lol. His friend was sitting off to the side and he told her to call him to see if his ringtone would work and it was on vibrate or silent and he goes "Oh, wait don't call me yet!" After a few minutes he finally gave up lol.
He would also give up chocolate btw. And he spent way longer talking about cheese than he thought he would lol. He recommends bleu cheese and munster.
His embarrassing moment was so funny. He loves Dexter and Michael C. Hall and got so nervous when he saw him at a restaurant. He tried to take his retainer out so he could go up to talk to him and as he's taking it out a long line of spit comes with it. At that exact moment the line of spit is fully out of his mouth, he sees Michael C. Hall, who had recognized him and came over to say hi, standing right infront of him. He could see him start to walk right to him, see the spit, and then turn to the other way. Poor Gabe! lol.

He's only watched the episodes he's in as well.

Gabe photos here- www.facebook.com/album.php

I have to say Traci is gorgeous! So beautiful and tall (well atleast to my 5'2" body). She had a great embarrassing moment that involved her "toughing" - tooting and coughing. Her words not mine! Her sotry does involve a mini spoiler so read if you wish.

MINI SPOILER ALERT- Pam is in episode 15. While working with an acting coach for a scene she toughed and then made the mistake of telling Jared and Jensen about it. During the actual scene, she had the contacts in and her sunglasses so she couldn't see but after every cut she would hear them laughing at her. lol. Oh boys!!

(Sorry. I don't quite know how to add spoiler bars so if anyone is bothered by it sorry :))

She said Jensen is very shy but Jared brings him out and helps him alot. *Squee*
While filming Lazarus Rising, the fire was really close to her face and she was trying to remain calm while it was right infront of her but she had to have that scared expression on her face so it wasn't too hard to fake that.

When asked about what it was ike to touch Jared's butt she responded- "That thing is bulletproof." HAHA. She then became my favorite person ever. And she had her contacts in for that scene too so she said she had to feel her way around and they did multiple takes lol.

Traci photos here- www.facebook.com/album.php

I frogot to talk abou the awesome costume contest. Near the end of Traci's panel she just stops and turns to look to the right side of the room and standing there is a guy dressed up in a teddy bear costume with stuffing coming out of his head carrying a big note saying 'Life is meaningless. Signed, T. Bear' HAHA It was hilarious! I totally forgot about the costume contest but there was a clear winner when he walked in.
And instead of giving away 3 prizes they had to do 4 since the other 3 all tied. There was Dean, Sam, and Bobby. Aw so cute right. Sam even had the tattoo on his chest lol.

Those photos are here- www.new.facebook.com/inbox/

All the winners got their picture taken with Traci, Gabe, and Richard together and Traci was all over the teddy bear lol. Richard was funny when he said "Note to self: Next time wear teddy bear costume" hehe.

The dessert party was ok. We were put in a smaller room than the one they used for karaoke so they had to add extra tables and squeeze people together. We were told to keep 1 chair open for when the guests come around though.
Ice cream was eh... a little too melty for my taste when we finally got up there lol.
Gabe came up with something that worked for him in Chicago where he pointed to you and you had 5 seconds to ask him a question or else he asked you one lol.
I asked what his dream vacation is and we got the honeymoon story :) My sister who was fully converted to a Supernatural addict this weekend proceeded to tell me after Gabe left the table that he was touching her the whole time. LOL. So cute.
A girl at our table gave Richard a few books that were mentioned during his panel- I know Nancy Boys was one of them. He seemed truly touched that she did this and promised to tell her what he thought of them at Eyecon. lol.

Photo ops and autos will come later once I get them scanned. Promise!
But here's my convo with Gabe at the autograph session
Me: K-A-Y-L-E-I-G-H
Gabe: He's writing each letter as I say it and he goes "It keeps going on and on."
Me: Yeah *laughs*
Gabe: Would you like anything special on it?
Me: Just anything that comes to you.
So he writes "Aren't we adorable?"
Me: Richard just wrote sweet.
Gabe: Did he? Stealer. In the past.
hahaha
Me: Thank you.
Gabe: Thank you.

At the photo op I told Gabe that I love cheese too!
Gabe: Who doesn't?
Me: I love mozzarella though.
Gabe: YES!
Me: Thanks for coming.
Gabe: No problem.

Videos are on their way too!

Hi all!! Now that we have a little bit of downtime I thought of no better time that to write up some reports lol. As my first con I have to say it is awesome. I'm having a great time even though Jared's not here.

Day 1- Chad Linberg and Jason Manns

We got off to a bit of a late start but managed to get to the hotel around 230. My dad said his goodbyes (mumbling to himself about how crazy all of this was lol) and Mallory (sister) and I registered and visited the merch room. The free gift that was promised was this little tote bag with a Dean and Sam patch sewn onto the front. It's actually come in handy a lot this weekend. Everyone also got a Jensen photo (S2 promo).

First off, I couldn't help but get a few things (shirt, mug, con photo). It just all looked so cool I had to remember that this money had to last me the whole weekend. Ha! We missed the very beginning of Chad's panel but quickly found our seats. He was great! It was like seeing Ash on stage lol. Someone asked him who he would romantically pair off Ash with and he stuggled for a min because he hasn't watched the show except for his episodes and then someone yelled out "Dean!" LOL. Chad replied (in Jensen/Dean's voice) "Sam won't understand" HAHA. I have alot of pics and some videos that will be up shortly. He told the story about how he would like Ash to save the day with his crossbow and acted out kicking down a door.
I actually got to ask him a question too!! I asked him if he could have played anyone on Supernatural besides Ash who would it be and he said that Ash was just kinda made for him. He felt a special connection to him and it was just right. And I asked him if they asked him to be in Fast and the Furious 4 and if not, if he would have gone back. We both agree that 4 looks like it's the true sequel with the 4 main stars finally reuniting and that 2 and 3 got a little weird. They did not ask him back but yeah, he would have liked to.
I think with all the other guests I'm getting a little stage fright. LOL.

I had a moment of OMG while sitting in the room during Chad's panel and taking pics. I couldn't believe it was ME who was there in the room with the banners and shitty lighting and small stage listening to these people talk about our shared obsession. It was surreal lol.

After Chad there was a Supernatural: Yes or No trivia contest and after pushing from my sister I raised my hand and got on stage lol. That's where I actually first met Lindsay (hey girl!) face to face which was great. i couldn't believe this but I actually won! it was a $200 gift certificate on Creation merch. I was kinda disappointed I couldn't use it to buy tickets but I got a few extra shirts and stuff so it's all good lol. Very exciting lol. I wasn't a repeat winner though unfortunately. (RumsFELD!)

Questions that have been asked to everyone:
Ringtone?
Chad: M.I.A. Paper Planes
Would you give up cheese or chocolate forever?
Chad: Chocolate.

Photo op with Chad was fun. It's so hard to remember what you wanted to say or think of stuff to say when you're standing in line like that! LOL. I managed to tell him to enjoy NJ though since he's never been here.

Here are all my Chad pics www.facebook.com/album.php

I am very surprised about how much I am enjoying my photo ops LOL.  I hope I didn't just jinx myself and my photo ops tomorrow are gonna su-uck but the ones with Chad, Gabe, Traci, and Richard I loved.  I cursed myself for not thinking of bringing 2 pairs of sunglasses and having Traci wear one and I wear the other for the photo op. Oh well. Next time lol. I don't know who it is but when we went to pick up our photos someone got a action shot with Gabe! lol. They're both in mid air looking excited :D haha. I thought about doing something different in my photo ops but since this was my first con I wanted traditional photos first before I got funny ones lol.

They're having another NJ con in Parsippany on July 9-11 2010 if anyone's interested. No one's been confirmed yet but they've asked all the major stars. I did sign up for it but I might be going on vacation then if I can pay it off so who knows. You may be seeing a post from me about selling these con tickets :/

Anywho....oh yes Jason. What a great guy. He smells so good!! OMG haha. He told a mini version of his story about meeting Jensen (at a Christmas party at Jensen's house) and even called him Jen when saying how good he was in MBV. *squee* :D

He talked alot about his songs and the writing process and so on and I felt really stupid about not knowing his songs lol. It was so cute hearing his Texas accent and he sounded a lot like Jensen when he said certain thing like "It's awesome." LOL.
He did know that his song was gonna be in Lazarus Rising but apparently they had told him that before but they ended up cutting it out or using another song so he didn't tell any of his friends that he was gonna be in the episode incase it happened again lol. He called Jensen a few days before it aired and Jensen said "Man I forgot to tell you but it's pretty stinkin hilarious." lol.
In fact, later at the concert he introduced the song (Visions) by saying "Dean doesn't like this song" HAHA.

Questions that have been asked to everyone:
Ringtone?
Jason: (I'm sorry but I don't remember *hides* Hopefully someone with a better memory can help me out with this)
Would you give up cheese or chocolate forever?
Jason:  Chocolate. His love for cheese is very high. lol

I have few videos from the concert: Hallelujah (Jason did an amazing cover!), Visions, and Crazy Love. He was so nice afterwards too. Signing cd's and taking pics. :D

And Jason's pics www.facebook.com/album.php

Karaoke night was so much fun but we were really tired by then lol. And again, thanks to Mallory, we got up and sang. Horribly. She wasn't even singing into the mike! *grrr* lol. Hey Jenn- loved you rocking the 80's! lol.
We left before Chad got up to sing unfortunately but we did gets pics with him and Richard that night.
He's got to be one of the nicest people ever. Seriously. It seems like such a surreal experience to be meeting all these celebs and having them actually be really cool and funny and just fun to be around.
I asked him about NJ and I explained to him that it was all about what exit you got off of on the parkway lol. (63 representin here!!)

But more on Richard, Traci, and Gabe (omg *love*!) later...

On January 25th, 2009 Kim Manners passwed away due to lung cancer. This comes as  a shock to his fans since only his family and friends knew of his illness. He will sorely be missed by fans in the Supernatural community, X-Files, and by everyone else his work affected. He was a visionary director and his contributions to the industry were unmeasurable.
My prayers and thoughts go out to hiis friends, family, and everyone on the Supernatural set.

RIP Kim Manners

So I'm just biding my time and praying I don't have work on Tuesday because I fully plan on buying Pineapple Express on DVD and exploring all the extras and commentary. For those of you who haven't seen it- GO SEE IT. It's hilarious. I've never laughed so hard in the movie theatre.
James Franco is so wonderfully stoned you can't help but fall in love with him. And he has some of the best lines in the movie :)
Seth Rogen once again scores with a great script and is as funny as ever. Danny McBride (who seems to be in everything now) is great in this as Red, the guy who never dies.
And for a Supernatural connection- Gary Cole, who was the suit in Hollywood Babylon, is the drugpin killer in this movie. LOL

Finally Creation has announced a Supernatral convention on the East coast in New Jersey! So far only Jared is attending but one can hope for Jensen as well! :)
The day has finally come! I can't believe it. Just when I thought that I would never get a chance to go to a convention, the Star Trek one is rescheduled and they fill it in with Supernatural. Reading everyone's experiences at Chicago last weekend is getting me hyped up too and the con isn't even till March! Oh boy.

how it's going to look, especially knowing that we have to show it to everyone in class on Monday. I know that should be the least of my worries but I still can't help think about what other people think about me and the things I do. If I could have a superpower or become a "hero", telepathy would be the death of me. I'd probably drive my self more insane.
I'm getting excited now that Halloween is getting closer and closer. It's usually not as big a holiday for me but this year I think it represents more than just getting candy and dressing up. It's a break from all the stress from school and just a time to have fun. Hopefully that fun will last me to Thanksgiving.

SUCKS! I'm in my junior year of college and it is my hardest semester ever! I am counting down the days to Christmas break. The only thing that I look forward to week to week is Supernatral. Seriously. The days pass by so slow till we finally reach Thursday and then it just goes around over and over again lol.
I can't wait for this week's episode - "Yellow Fever". The preview clip looks amusing but I'm really looking forward to the dream Dean has in the promo with Sam going all dark side and using his powers on him. That's bound to get to Dean even if it wasn't real.
But there are a few things to look forward to before Christmas break I guess. For one, there's Halloween where I'm being Indiana Jones! HAHA. So excited. And my sister is being Short Round from Temple of Doom. We even got the retro style Yankees cap. :D
I'm also going to see ACDC on November 17th which is so exciting!! Of course I know them because they're ACDC but I really love them because they're fans of Supernatural according to the Krip and because 4 of their songs have been used so far in the show. Highway to Hell, Back in Black, You Shook me all night Long, and Hells Bells.
I also really can't wait to get a new phone- FINALLY! Cingular or AT&T or whatever may have good service but their selection of phones suck. The Pantech Duo doesn't look too bad though.

The play was awesome!! We had amazing seats- Mezz EE, and could see everything. The guy who played Mark couldn't do the second act for some reason so his understudy was bought up but he was pretty good. Declan Bennet (Roger) was alright. Took a little time to get used to his accent and not hearing the songs sound like Adam Pascal but he was good. Mimi (Tamyra Gray) and Maureen (Caren Lyn Manuel) and Collins (Michael McElroy) were my favorites I think.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay after to see if any of the cast came out because we had a bus to catch but it was still fun. I wrote my name on the wall outside and took pictures of the outside and one of the stage (Sneaky! LOL).
It was different from the movie (of course) but I loved it all the same.

the first school paper I'm actually proud of.

Assignment: Analyze the mythological greek hero and compare to a modern movie hero. My pick: Indiana Jones :)

A hero has always been a staple in Greek and modern myths.  Whether he or she has special superpowers or uses their own cleverness, they’re someone the ordinary man can look up to and admire.  Indiana Jones is one of the most popular heroes because he is an ordinary man whose adventures always lead him into situations where he faces unimaginable challenges and terrifying foes.  Using only his bravery and knowledge of archaeology he manages to succeed time and time again.  Indiana Jones fits into the mold of a mythological hero with some modern qualities as well.

In Greek mythology, and in many folktales, there are certain motifs that often appear in a hero’s tale (Morford & Lenardon, 394).  He faces opposition from the beginning and must prove his worth by overcoming challenges.  In the beginning of Raiders, Belloq makes Indy the fool by stealing the idol away from him and the rest of the movie Indy is trying to beat Belloq on a race to the Ark while fighting off Nazis and thugs.  His enemies instigate his achievement.  The villains are usually clearly defined from the beginning, but as we see, the more deceitful they are, the more Indy tries harder to beat them.  In Temple, Indy finally frees the children after becoming a member of the occult himself and only when the Nazis injure his father does Indy agree to go get the Holy Grail in Last Crusade.  He is helped by an ally.  Indy always had a sidekick who proves to be a great asset to him (Sallah, Marcus, Short Round, and his father).  He faces obstacles, labors, or a quest.  Each Indiana Jones adventure takes on a quest that is completed by the journey’s end.  The Ark of the Covenant, Shankara stone, and Holy Grail are all found and disposed of returned by the time we return to the real world.  Conflicts with opponents present him with physical, sexual, and spiritual challenges.  Indiana is always faced with physical challenges like jumping from trucks, sword/fist fights, booby traps, etc.  Spiritual challenges are most present in Raiders and Last Crusade.  In Raiders, Indy fully understands the power of the Ark by the end and the Ark is almost similar to Pandora’ Box with all the death that followed the opening of it.  In Last Crusade, Indy had to be truly faithful to God to succeed in the three challenges before finding the Grail.  In the last one, he even must make a “leap of faith” into the seemingly deep abyss (Spielberg).  Success is rewarded with marriage, wealth, and power.  Indy is rewarded for his labors through wealth from the museum and power from admiration by his students and colleagues.  He also saves the many villages in his travels but most of his reward is knowledge through suffering and lasting spiritual enlightment.  Being an archaeologist, having confirmation that these artifacts actually did exist and certain customs were really done had to have been satisfying.  Also, after receiving momentary immortal life, one can expect a feeling of rebirth or purification.

In class, we talked about the qualities we thought any hero ought to have to be considered a hero.  Among those were a double identity, absence of parents, bravery, a fatal flaw, and a sidekick (Panagakos 2008).  Although Jones’ double identity isn’t as pronounced as Clark Kent or Bruce Banner, for instance, there is a difference between Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. the Professor and Indiana Jones the Archaeologist.  Dr. Jones is a soft-spoken, glasses-wearing, tweed-dressing professor who only wishes to go out and discover all the ancient artifacts he teaches about.  Indiana Jones is a globetrotter, facing danger at every turn.  His whole demeanor changes when he wears the leather jacket, fedora hat, and has a whip and pistol at his side.  Dr. Jones is known as his professional name while he prefers Indiana (Spielberg).  Although it is not addressed until later in the films, Indiana had no personal relationship with his father.  His mother was absent for most of his life, unknown whether she abandoned him or passed away, and his father was obsessed in his own personal quest for the Holy Grail (Spielberg).  Consciously or unconsciously, Indy grew into the same obsession his father had with archaeology and followed in his footsteps of becoming a professor.

The one constant in all three films so far, is Indiana’s fear of snakes.  Up to this point, this is the only real thing that the character dreads.  In Raiders, Indiana voices his fear to his friend, Sallah “Snakes…why’d it have to be snakes?” (Jones).  We find out later the reason behind his fear is due to a traumatic train ride in his childhood.  Unlike most of the heroes who allow their fear or characteristic become their fatal flaw, Indiana faces his fear for the discovery of the Ark.  This goes hand in hand with the bravery he represents multiple times.  He’s faced Nazis, cults, tribes, thugs, and always manages to defeat them one way or another.  Another main component for any hero is the sidekick as mentioned before.  Heracles had one with Iolaus (Morford & Lenardon, 568) and Indiana has many sidekicks throughout his adventures.  First, there is Sallah, an Indian digger who aids him in infiltrating the Nazi dig site and ultimately possessing the Ark.  Then, the youngest and loudest, Short Round.  Indy took on the surrogate father role to Short Round after finding him trying to pick his pocket and they struck up a great partnership.  Shorty bought about a new, fatherly, side of Indy that made him feel even more human.  Finally, there is his father, Dr. Henry Jones.  As I stated before, the two never had a relationship during Indiana’s childhood which left them estranged in later years.  They made for an interesting pair with Indy performing his usual feats for his unimpressed father and his father’s unconventional problem solving ways while being introduced to his son’s rather violent, adventurous lifestyle.

Indiana Jones is not the ordinary classic hero.  Although he shares some classic mythological qualities, he is also a modern hero.  The first of the Indiana Jones’ adventures, Raiders of the Lost Ark, puts a new spin on the classic hero tale.  Firstly, the role of the heroine is portrayed almost as the hero’s equal.  Marion Ravenwood is headstrong, knows how to take care of herself, and throw a punch.  She is presented as in integral part of the story for without her medallion, Indy would have never found the Ark.  When put in danger, Marion shows she is very resourceful and attempts her own rescue by bringing back the drinking game that made her a winner in the beginning of the film.  Her attempt was unsuccessful but it showed that she could think for herself and do more than other female heroines.  Although her motives seem only for financial gain, we learn that she still has passionate feelings for Jones and that is why she repeatedly aids him in his quest.  Similar to how Ariadne helped Theseus kill the Minotaur and the help Jason received from Medea in winning the Golden Fleece (Morford & Lenardon, 395).  Secondly, Steven Spielberg presented us with a hero that had an ordinary job and lived a relatively normal life.  With no superpowers, Indiana Jones became the “blue collar hero”.  Perhaps the reason why the character is so beloved is because most people feel they can relate to him on some level since he is from their world.  One of the things that make Indiana a great hero is that he relies on his inner strength and knowledge to persevere as opposed to supernatural objects or powers.

Spielberg also incorporates the usual pile of stock characters we see in almost every heroic tale.  The wise old man is represented through Marcus Brody, Indy’s wise old mentor at the University and who later joins him on the search for the Holy Grail.  Rene Belloq, in Raiders, could be seen as the nice scoundrel.  He is very charismatic and uses his charm to try to persuade Marion and the audience almost grows fond of him before he meets his fate.  In Temple of Doom, Wu Han is the friend who meets the unfortunate death.  The love interest is always a constant in Indy’s life. First represented by Marion, most like his equal.  Then by Willie Scott who was the stereotypical damsel-in-distress.  Lastly, Elsa Schneider was also the betrayer, coming out as a Nazi after gaining Jones’ trust.  The setting also stays true to the classic myth of a hero battling all elements. The environments themselves lead the hero to challenges like Odysseus and Charybdis (Morford & Lenardon, 532) and Indiana Jones and the jungle (Spielberg).

Interestingly, I found that Indiana Jones had a great resemblance to Perseus.  After visiting the nymphs, Perseus receives three special objects: a cap of invisibility, a pair of winged sandals, and a wallet or pack (Morford & Lenardon, 548).  We recognize Perseus through spotting these objects in Greek art.  Similarly, Indiana is recognizable through his fedora hat, whip, and messenger bag.  Perseus places the head of Medusa in his pack after killing her (Morford & Lenardon, 556) just as Indy does with the precious Shankara stones in Temple (Spielberg).

In conclusion, Indiana Jones has multiple mythological ties to the original classic myth of the hero.  Spielberg created a whole new level of the “action hero” with Raiders and its sequels.  While it remains true to the myth, a few modernizations have also been made.  Indiana has no real help from supernatural elements and possesses no superpowers of his own. He also does not die in any sense, except for a few close calls.  He shares a few qualities of the modern hero but is also unique in that he overcomes his “fatal flaw”.  Indiana Jones is one of the greatest fictional heroes of our generation and will forever live on in cinema history.

GO SEE IT!!!
