Thanks!
What a long day Sunday was. Long but fabulous. Thanks to daylight savings we lost a hour of sleep (whoever came up with that one did a bang up job!). We got down to the lobby around 8:15 and there was already a long line forming from outside the ballroom doors. But thanks to a new setup they started it didn't matter what seat you had since all the stars were gonna come around to your table. They were only there for a few min. but I guess they thought it would prevent people from sleeping in the hotel lobby lol. They each came around with handlers and were given the sholder tap of doom when it was time to move on. Malik though stayed till he found out where each of us came from since got the touch when he was halfway around the table.
Jim, Todd, Malik (He prefers his middle name), and Misha looked wonderful for getting about no sleep. Misha and Jim flew in from Vancouver (they're filming 4.21 right now).
Everyone was so excited to see Misha especially. Since he got moved to Sunday it felt like he was the replacement for Jared (since Sunday is usually the big day) and he delivered on all levels. The other guests were great too but no one knew what to expect from Misha.
On a (very) shallow note- his eyes are AMAZING! When he looks at you he's staring directly at you and makes you feel like there's no one else around. I know that sounds so cliche but it's true. He has a much more softer oice than Castiel too.
So when Jim ame around to our table we didn't have an empty chair so he just kneeled lol. A couple girls at our table were telling him about how they thought Chuck Norris would be afraid of Bobby and that 'Demons build panic rooms to hide from Bobby Singer'. LOL He got a kick out of that.
Malik was just so cool. Very laid back with that Bronx attitude. So different from the bravado he puts on as Hendrickson. Todd was really charming and funny. Who knew he was in so many things? The hi-tech fans who bought their laptops with them checked out his IMDB page while waiting in photo op lines and such. He was in the episode 'Boo' of Dark Angel, but when I asked him in the autograph line if he ever met Jensen on that shoot, sadly his answer was no. His scenes were mostly with Jessica, Ashley Scott, and Kevin Durand. At the breakfast and his panel, he said he shot the 'Close to Home' pilot with Jared when he was about 17 (cue "aww" from the audience" Todd: "Yeah people age. What about that?") so it was a nice 7 year reunion with Jared when he got cast as Dracula in MM.
After the breakfast was Jim Beaver's photo op and because the breakfast ran a little long they started a little late. I wanted to think of a certain pose or something but went for the regular one-arm hug which is just as nice! :)
Right after my photo was taken, Richard Speight Jr walked in and shook hands with Jim and they posed for a picture together!
Jim's photos here-
www.new.facebook.com/album.phpHis panel was right after that and boy can that man talk! I don't know how much longer his panel ran but it was definitely longer than an hour. He talked a bit about Kim Manners and that the tone on set has definitely changed. Not that they still don't have fun but Kim will be dearly missed.
He called Jared and Jensen kindergarteners LOL and said that there's no sense of an age difference between them so he doesn't really feel like a surrogate father like Bobby. Just good friends.
A lilttle girl Hailey asked Jim about the relationship with his daughter since she said her relationship with her father is really special since he moved away. Jim got all flustered and told her she was gonna make him blush. Aww! His daughter Mady is 7 and Jim said he's never taken her to a con or the SPN set. Once he took her on the Deadwood set when she was 3 and one of the main actors (Ian McShane- I think) just shot a scene where he got the shit beat out of him and his face was all bloody and he introduced her to him and she gives the most unamused "Hi." and walks away. LOL. He also told a cute story where he was driving her to school and there was something about Obama on the radio. Mady asked who won the election (5 months later) and he said Barack Obama. Mady was surprised because she said that McCain was prettier! Jim's like "Well, that's not how they decide who gets to be president." Somehow they got talking about George Bush and Mady goes "George Bush was president? Why does nobody tell me these things!" HAHA. She sounds too cute. He might take her to one of these cons when she's older to show her that her "old man is actually cool." LOL.
A few people asked about his book which is about the year that he found out his wife was diagnosed with cancer and Mady was diagnosed as autistic. It's a book of emails he put together that just helped him get through the year and how other people helped him through it.
He thinks the John/Bobby relationship is funny becuase he's never had a scene with JDM and never met him in person lol.
Another SPOILER ALERT:
In the season finale, we'll learn more about John and Bobb's relationship and that Bobby didn't always like how John raised the boys.
When describing the boys he learned from us that most of us had never met the J's and he was srsly shocked lol. He said he's gonna have to kick some ass when he gets back to Vancouver lol. Go Jim!
There was the prank question but Jim said they're too scared of him to play pranks. And he knows too much about Kripke's personal life so he's not afraid about Bobby being killed off (plus he's named after a producer lol).
Jim was just really honest about everything. He has this awesome no bullshit attitude. Like when he mentioned finishing up 13 episodes on "Harper's Island" and people started clapping and he goes "Y'all are clapping for a show you haven't even seen yet!" lol.
He pointed out that the pic they used for him on the banner and the screen behind him was not from Supernatural lol. He was teasing the guys backstage about where they had gotten that pic and they were like "Uh. You know. Somewhere." and Jim's lilke "Yeah. Try HBO." HA! He pretended to draw a fuller beard on his face to look more like Bobby.
Bobby thinks that everyone likes holy water in their beer! lol.
His favorite episode that he's not in is "Nightmare" in Season 1. "It's the one with the kid!" lol. After some help from us we guessed the ep and he said that he really remembered that one lol.
Alot of talk about languages and stuff like that. In Yellow Fever the part about Bobby speaking Japanes was added because he told Kripke that he knew some. Hee.
Actually, when he went to Japan and spoke in a lilttle welcome ceremony, he thought his speech went really well. When he finished they said it was good there was just one thing. He thought he had said "Thank you for welcoming me into the country" but the Japanese phrase is an idiom and can mean different things and what he actually said was "Thank you for sending me to a conentration camp." He said it wasn't his proudest moment lol.
Since Jim's panel ran long, his autographs were combined at the end of the day with Misha, Malik, and Todd.
I had bought a group photo op ticket at the last minute after my sister said she wanted to meet Misha but she didn't have a photo op ticket for him. So she got to stand next to Misha in the group photo op lol.
NOTE: OK GUYS, IN OUR GROUP PHOTO OP, WE HAD THE GUYS MAKE 'ASIAN EYES'. I'M AFRAID TO POST IT SINCE I DON'T KNOW WHO WILL TAKE OFFENSE TO IT OR MAKE IT INTO THIS HUGE DEAL. MY SISTER AND I ARE ASIAN (KOREAN) AND WANTED TO DO A FUNNY POSE WITH THE GUYS.
IF YOU WANT ME TO POST IT PLEASE SAY SO. BUT I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN THAT IT WAS NOT MEANT TO MAKE FUN OF ANYBODY IN ANYWAY.
We don't want a repeat of the Miley Cyrus incident. *rolls eyes*So, next up was Misha's photo op. His line was massively long and when there was about 40 people left, we could see him peaking out the door to see how long the line really was. Aww he's too cute.
I asked him for a hug and gosh, I could've stayed there forever. I also think I might have asked him for a hug as my arms were halfway open lol.
We had a little break before Todd's panel so we thought we'd go for a bite. Omg the restaurant service was horrible! So slow. We sat down at 2 and didn't get a waiter until 2:20. We barely made it out of there in time for his panel. Ugh.
Anyway, Todd was great. He had some great stories about shooting 'Surfer Dude' with Matthe McConaughey. There's a scene where he has to do drugs with some hot girls and pass a bong or something back and forth. He's standing on this set overlooking a sea of 150 girls in bikinis and high heels and said he felt like Ceasar when the director let him pick the girls he wanted in the scene lol. He did the muscle pose and said he pointed to the girls and said "Bring me the redhead and the brunette." A PA dashed off into the crowd to get these girls and he did the most hilarous Grinch-like run haha. He also mimicked the other girls stomping their feet with mad faces on like "What's wrong with me!"
He is a huge fanboy and likes Star Wars and the old horror classics. He watched Dracule like 30 times while filming and he'd be watching clips online before he'd shoot a scene just to make sure he got it right.
He pointed out to the makeup or whomever that Dracula didn't have fangs and if they were going to be true to the story shouldn't he not have teeth and they just told him to be quiet lol.
He thinks his first scene filmed was the alley but couldn't really remember "Note to self: Remember scene order" lol
He had great things to say about the J's and he wouldn't change his career for anybody else's. He's worked on good and bad sets but loves the experiences he's had.
After every panel they had the guests sign the banner on each side of the stage and his pic was all the way up top. So he pretended like he was a vampire and flapped his arms and the ends of his jacket like they were wings HAHA. It was hysterical. Then he tried to stand on the director's chair he was sitting in but the chair and stage wasn't that sturdy so...bad combo lol. They finally bought out a regular chair for him to stand on.
Todd and photo ops here-
www.new.facebook.com/album.phpMalik was up next. He started out by talking about limitations and only wanting the things that are necessities in life and about living for the day and overcoming limitations. It was a little strange to be honest. What he said was true but a little out of place maybe lol.
The greatest part came when a little boy asked him how it felt to get a swirly from Jensen lol. Malik was like "Whose kid is this?" "Is this your baby?!" haha. He said he read the script and just must not have seen that part. He watched that toilet very closely because he was scared of pranks but it was fine. It wasn't a real toilet either.
When he was first cast, they were actually looking for a 50 year old to play Hendrickson but he went in and read the material anyway. Kripke also talked to him about coming back so he was surprised and disappointed to see that he got killed off. He's like "Lilith, white light..WHAT?" "Why all the black people gotta die?" lol.
His nephew was here with him and his sister is his best friend. She told him that he sucked on his first tv gig when he thought he did awesome lol. His mom called him after 402 aired and yelled at him for being too mean. Aww lol.
His favorite ep is 402 since he got to shoot the gun and play cowboys and indians/cops and robbers. He's like a 10 year old kid at heart. His favorite scene to shoot though was his convo with Dean in Nightshifter and his intro shot when he bosses around the cop in the trailer "You can go home and bang your wife for all I care- who gets to say that on TV? Shouldn't we be on HBO?"
He also shared with us that he was shot when he was 15 and almost got killed in a motorcycle crash a few years ago.
Surprisingly, he's watched the first 8 eps of Season 1!! He doesn't scare easy and once he put the pilot in and started watching it he thought "Let's turn the lights back on." lol. So he's become a real fan of the show too!
The funniest part was at the end when Misha was backstage talking to VIPs kinda loudly and Malik called back "If you don't shut up back there I'm gonna come and..." Misha said "we're trying to have a conversation."
Then he stuck his head out infront of the curtain and Malik goes "There's an angel back there!" HAHA. He was having fun with Misha telling us he was stripping backstage and that there was a pole back there. He takes singles and change lol.
More of Jim and Malik -
www.new.facebook.com/album.phpFINALLY- MISHA!!
Everyone's said this already but it's so true. He's even hotter in person. He seemed more relaxed than he did at the photo ops and was really funny. He called Malik his pimp and thanked him for that great introduction. The lines to ask him a question were really long. People started lining up before Malik got off stage. Only one guy asked him one too- he was very glad/surprised to see him "Awesome a guy!" lol.
His sister was here with him and about everyone knows that he worked in the White House under the Clinton administration and said it was just terrible lol.
If he could play any role not on TV anymore it would definitley not be Columbo. Probably George Clooney on ER.
Confirming some stuff on his IMDB page- he did start a software company out of college for a get rich quick scheme but started to act to support his failing software company. He did build his house and some of the furniture in it but not everything. He would like to get to the point that he did build all the furniture but he's not there yet.
A girl bought this published book of poetry and asked him to read something from it!! His original response would have been that he didn't remember anything but now he was stuck lol. I wish I had taken a video of that but my second battery was already dying. :(
After some pleading and expectant silence he finally agreed to say Castiel's line "You should show me some respect." HEHE. So hot. After it he said he's never felt so ambiguous in his life.
He wouldn't show us how he auditioned for Demon!Castiel though. He said "I'm not your monkey!" "I aim to please but I don't aim that high." LOL. We still love you Misha! He sounded like a parent when he's like "Now don't look at me like that." haha.
When asked how he thought Sam, Dean, and Castiel would end up he joked that they woudl live in a country cottage or something like that. He liikes the conflict that's always there between him and Dean and Sam because it makes the show interesting. The greatest quote was "You don't know how Castiel thinks." HAHA.
With the lone guy who asked how Castiel suddenly appears out of nowhere he did a audience participation part of the Q&A and picked out a girl to be him. The guy was Dean and he was the camera coming around behind him and then she walked right next to him so it's basically Misha waiting off of camera behind someone and then jumping into frame lol.
He said that there is a sense of hijinks but not too many since Jensen said it escalates and they realized they're gonna be with these people for a few years so they probably shouldn't get on their bad side lol. Misha was also glad his character was on our good side so his fan reaction and fandom experience has been good. But he'd hate to be on our bad side because we can be a little mean.
SPOILER: There's a scene with a little kid in 421 and they had to hire a short woman who looked like the kid from behind and in the beginning of every take he had to point to the lines she had to read. And she had a funny accent so he said he was biting his cheeks to keep from laughing and Jared and Jensen are on the other side staring at him trying not to laugh and the Assistant Director was getting pissed! lol. They also got in trouble the other night for breaking windows when they were filming in a warehouse. lol Oh boys!
He commented that there was no shortage of cameras in the room and later that he was now partially blind from all the camera flashes lol.
He also should've paid more attention to the suit that wardrobe fitted him with. When they called him for a fitting he didn't realize that he was going to "be wearing the fucking thing all the time" (haha his words not mine) and the suit really doesn't fit right.
While filming the park scene in ITGPSW, there were little buttons all over the park that controlled the sprinklers and they had to be off for the scene but there wasn't enough crew to keep all the kids away from the buttons so they would have to wait 20 min everytime they went on lol. It was like an extra 5 hours all together.
In Lazarus Rising, the sparks of fire were actually burning his scalp and he had to try his hardest not to jump back when the squibs went off in his clothing to make it look like he was being shot at because they were loud. Ruby's knife also had no blade in that scene so Jensen was holding the handle and when Misha pulled it out they added the blade with CGI. But they had to do that scene a few times because he kept pulling the blade out at an angle lol. He said when he rewatched the scene you can see on his face that he's thinking "OK, just pull it out straight this time!" lol.
SPOILER: He couldn't remember what has aired and what hasn't aired and alluded to the fact that Dean may be using some angel powers in the future.
Misha's photos here- www.new.facebook.com/album.php
Finally, we got to the autograph sessions. I got the big poster signed by all of them and only had my photo ops with Misha and Jim ready for them to sign. All the guys got a kick out of our group photo op and Misha even signed it for free!! It was already in a toploader but that was ok lol. His handler looked kinda mad but what could she do? LOL.
Jim said "I wanna go back to Japan one day and they're gonna hate me!" lol. Don't worry Jim!
That about does it for me. I'll make a separate post with my photo ops I guess.
ENJOY!
